The Council remains convinced that the achievement of lasting peace between the two countries and a definitive solution of the outstanding territorial issues must be based on the Algiers Peace Agreement, including the acceptance of the decision of the Ethiopia-Eritrea Boundary Commission on the demarcation of the Eritrean-Ethiopian border as final and binding.
Le Conseil reste convaincu que la concrétisation d’une paix durable entre les deux pays et d’une solution définitive aux problèmes territoriaux en suspens doit se baser sur l’accord de paix d’Alger, notamment l’acceptation de la décision de la commission frontalière internationale Éthiopie - Érythrée quant à la délimitation de la frontière entre l’Érythrée et l’Éthiopie comme fiable et contraignante.
