The Council noted that the 41st session of the International Rubber Council on 27 September-1 October 1999 had agreed by consensus on the termination of the International Rubber Agreement, and was informed of the preparations of the special session of the INRC on 13-17 December 1999 which will discuss the appropriate duration of the period for the liquidation of the entire organisation, the mandate of the "ad hoc group" which will discuss issues of international cooperation in the field of natural rubber, and the position on current projects set up by the INRO Secretariat.
Le Conseil a noté que lors de la 41ème session du Conseil international du caoutchouc naturel, tenue du 27 septembre au 1er octobre 1999, il a décidé par consensus de mettre fin à l'Accord international sur le caoutchouc naturel. En outre il a été informé sur les préparatifs pour une session spéciale de l'INRC qui se tiendra du 13 au 17 décembre 1999 et qui examinera les questions de la durée appropriée de la période nécessaire pour dissoudre l'intégralité de l'organisation, du mandat du groupe ad hoc qui sera chargé d'examiner des questions de coopération internationale dans le domaine du caoutchouc naturel et des projets actuels mis en place par le Secrétariat de l'INRO.
