8 targeting greater forkbeard may obtain from their fishing authorities a fishing authorisation in accordance with Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009 that allows them to continue conducting that fishery in the area south of 44 00.00' N. 2. Par dérogation à l'interdiction énoncée au paragraphe 1, les navires ayant pratiqué la pêche ciblant le phycis de fond à l'aide de palangres de fond en 2006, 2007 et 2008, peuvent obtenir de leurs autorités de pêche une autorisation de pêche délivrée conformément à l'article 7 du règlement (CE) n° 1224/2009 les autorisant à poursuivre cette pêche dans la zone située au sud de 44° 00,00' N. Tout navire ayant obtenu cette autorisation, quelle que soit sa longueur hors tout, doit utiliser un VMS sécurisé, pleinement opérationnel et conforme aux dispositions applicables, lorsqu'il pêche dans la zone définie au paragraphe 1.
