SUBJECT: Workshop C: Rural Tourism THE SITUATION IN THE SECTOR, THE PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED Rural tourism is often thought of as farm tourism but is in fact wider in scope, taking in all countryside activities (open air, sports, natural surroundings, environment, culture and local customs) and the whole range of countryside accommodation (small hotels, holiday villages, etc.).
