For four wild bird species France does not in its domestic legislation provide for the set of stipulations that the Directive intends for all wild bird species. These four species are: Larus argentatus (Herring Gull), Larus ridibundus (Black-headed Gull), Larus cachinnans (Yellow-legged Gull), Phalocrocorax carbo sinensis (Cormorant, continental sub-species).
Pour les quatre espèces d'oiseaux sauvages suivantes, la France n'a pas repris dans sa législation la série de prescriptions prévues par la directive pour toutes les espèces d'oiseaux sauvages: Larus argentatus (Goéland argenté) Larus ridibundus (Mouette rieuse), Larus cachinnans (Goéland leucophée), Phalocrocorax carbo sinensis (Grand Cormoran, sous-espèces continentale)
