Les navires servant au transport des animaux doivent être munis, avant le départ, de réserves d'eau potable - lorsqu'ils ne disposent pas d'un système approprié en permettant la production - et d'aliments appropriés en suffisance, tant par rapport à l'espèce et au nombre des animaux transportés qu'à la durée de la traversée.
Vessels used in the transport of animals shall, before sailing, be provided with sufficient supplies of drinking water - where they are not equipped with a suitable system allowing its production - and appropriate foodstuffs, having regard to the species and number of animals being transported as well as to the duration of the voyage.
