Je répète que si le projet de loi ne représente pas un écart par rapport aux normes internationales, Transports Canada n'aurait pas à en aviser l'OACI. Si nous l'apprenons, c'est en passant par les voies habituelles d'échange d'information que nous avons établies avec nos partenaires de travail, pour ainsi dire.

We think this audit is a very important program and it's part of a larger program of an internationally recognized means of verifying the implementation of ICAO aviation standards worldwide. We made a $350,000 grant to the program in February 2002, and the additional funds requested represent the balance of Canada's commitment.
