According to this study, while the federal government claims that it does not have money for social policies — which has led to an increase in the retirement age, employment insurance reforms and cuts to health transfers — it seems that funding for military operations abroad, in the name of the war on terrorism, and correctional services and spy agencies is infinitely expandable.
