Calls on the EU and the US to assist in the creation and the funding of a common agricultural policy for Africa, in order to encourage sustainable farming practices, to provide for the establishment of an internal agricultural market in Africa, to develop an export strategy for food produce and to guarantee an adequate food supply for all of Africa;

It should also be recalled that another recently adopted joint FAO/NEPAD comprehensive agricultural programme for Africa calls for the investment of an additional USD 240 billion between now and 2015.

The three regional partnerships would build on and integrate existing ones (e.g. Joint Africa EU Strategy) and set the priorities and actions focussed on the specificities of the agenda of the partnership with each of the three regions.
