À l'instar d'une dizaine de milliers d'autres pétitionnaires qui soutiennent les revendications du réseau FADOQ, ils demandent à la Chambre des communes d'instaurer l'inscription automatique au Supplément de revenu garanti (SRG), à l'allocation au conjoint (ALC) et à l'allocation au conjoint survivant (ALCS), de bonifier le SRG de 110 $ par mois pour les personnes vivant seules et d'augmenter mensuellement l'ALCS de 199 $, d'instaurer une rétroactivité pleine et sans condition et, finalement, de prolonger de six mois le SRG et l'ALC dans le cas du décès d'un bénéficiaire en couple.
Like the tens of thousands of other petitioners who support the demands of the FADOQ network, these petitioners are calling on the House of Commons to implement automatic registration for the guaranteed income supplement, the spouse's allowance and the surviving spouse's allowance, to increase the GIS by $110 a month for people who live alone, to increase the surviving spouse's allowance by $199 a month, to provide full retroactivity with no strings attached and, finally, to extend the GIS and the spouse's allowance by six months when one beneficiary in a couple dies.
