En droit belge (articles 1275, 1303, 1309 et 1310 du code judiciaire/Gerechtelijk Wetboek), le dispositif de la décision de divorce ou de séparation doit être transcrit au registre de l'état civil dans un délai d'un mois à compter de la notification de la décision au responsable du registre, exigence qui ne paraît pas concerner les décisions d'annulation du mariage; cependant, le défaut de transcription de la décision a pour seul effet de rendre le divorce inopposable aux tiers.
Under Belgian law (Articles 1275, 1303, 1309 and 1310 of the 'Code judiciaire`/'Gerechtelijk wetboek`) the enacting terms of the divorce or legal separation judgment must be recorded in the register of marital status within one month of notification of the judgment to the registrar; this requirement does not appear in connection with judgments for marriage annulment; however, failure to record the judgment only prevents the divorce from being relied on as against third parties.
