Although 83% of installed capacity in Spain is controlled by the three largest generators, there are almost 150 suppliers, and more than half of the large eligible customers have been able to take advantage of the new competitive environment by switching their supplier or re-negotiating their supply contracts, as evidenced in the Commission’s Second Benchmarking Report .
