A key feature of the proposal is the setting, at Community level, of exposure limits in the form, on the one hand, of indicative and binding occupational exposure limit values (the concentration, in the air breathed in by a worker, of a chemical agent, over a certain period) and, on the other hand, of binding biological limit values (the concentration, in the human body, of the relevant agent).
Une des caractéristiques principales de cette proposition est qu'elle fixe, au niveau communautaire, des limites d'exposition sous la forme, d'une part, de valeurs limites d'exposition professionnelles à caractère indicatif ou impératif (la concentration, dans l'air inhalé par un travailleur, d'un agent chimique, pendant une certaine période) et, d'autre part, des valeurs limites biologiques impératives (la concentration, dans le corps humain, de l'agent concerné).
