Adjustments are made due to the difference in energy content between the biofuel and the fossil fuel with which it is mixed using the data in Annex III to Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (4), namely 1,52 and 1,09 for bioethanol and biodiesel, respectively.
