Particular emphasis should be given to the Black Sea and the Arctic regions, where there is a need for intensified cooperation and increased Union involvement, including through membership of the Convention on the Protection of the Black Sea against Pollution and by gaining permanent observer status in the Arctic Council, in order to address new and shared environmental challenges.
Il convient de placer tout particulièrement l’accent sur la mer Noire et les régions arctiques, où il est nécessaire de renforcer la coopération et d’accroître la participation de l’Union, y compris au travers de l’adhésion à la convention sur la protection de la mer Noire contre la pollution, et en obtenant le statut d’observateur permanent au sein du Conseil de l’Arctique, afin de relever de nouveaux défis communs en matière d’environnement.
