Urges the Commission to introduce a more robust and proactive alert mechanism than the one provided for in the Services Directive, specifically for health-care professions, in order to ensure patient safety. The proactive alert mechanism should be incorporated into an improved and strengthened Internal Market Information (IMI) system in order to facilitate swifter cooperation and the rapid exchange of ...[+++]information between Member States and competent authorities on any prior disciplinary sanctions, including any suspensions imposed on health-care professionals; this mechanism must be supported by a duty for national authorities to exchange registration and disciplinary information about health-care professionals;
