Issuance by Canada Post of Stamp Honouring Professor John Peters Humphrey to Commemorate Fiftieth Anniversary Hon. Noël A. Kinsella (Acting Deputy Leader of the Oppsoition): Honourable senators, you may recall that last year we raised the matter of the desirability of Canada Post issuing a special commemorative stamp marking the fiftieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and, in particular, the contribution of a distinguished Canadian, John P. Humphrey, who prepared the first draft of this universal standard of human rights.
