The new senators would in all likelihood be less effective in representing provincial interests, for they would tend to integrate with the political dynamic proper to the federal scene, in particular, the dynamic of the federal political parties, even if certain variations on the Australian model, the template for the federal government, have been written into to Bill C-20.
