As a follow-up to the relevant Green Paper[24], the Commission will undertake an impact assessment and submit a White Paper on a legislative proposal to establish the European Public Prosecutor’s (EPP) Office from Eurojust, with responsibility for investigating, prosecuting and bringing to judgement offences against the Union’s financial interests under the future Constitutional Treaty[25] and also for the possibility to extend the EPP’s powers to serious crime with a cross-border dimension.
30. Pour donner suite au livre vert consacré à cette question[24], la Commission procédera à une analyse d’impact et présentera un livre blanc relatif à une proposition législative visant à établir le Parquet européen à partir d’Eurojust, compétent pour les enquêtes, poursuites et jugements en matière d’infractions portant atteinte aux intérêts financiers de l’Union au titre du futur traité constitutionnel[25].
