Unlike the other measures, we intend the Canadian Adaptation and Rural Development Fund to be an ongoing annual allocation of $60 million a year, indefinitely into the future, to support adaptation at the national level, through programs such as the Farm Safety Program, the National Farm Business Management Program, and so forth, and also to support local initiatives such as those undertaken by the Ontario Adaptation Council and by corresponding adaptation councils that are up and running in the Province of Quebec and, we hope, in other provinces.
À l'encontre des autres mesures, nous prévoyons, dans le cadre de ce fonds, verser 60 millions de dollars par année au secteur, pour une période indéterminée, afin de faciliter l'adaptation au niveau national, par l'entremise de programmes comme le Programme de sécurité à la ferme, le Programme national de la gestion d'entreprise agricole, ainsi de suite, et d'appuyer les initiatives locales comme celles entreprises par le Conseil d'aide à l'adaptation de l'Ontario et par des conseils similaires au Québec et, nous l'espérons, dans les autres provinces.
