A simple reading of the opinions of the Scientific Committee on Plants (with regard, for example to esfenvalerate) and of the tight restrictions imposed on some of the active substances listed in Annex I (e.g. amitrol and thiabendazole) is sufficient to show that some active substances which present a serious risk have been authorised.
