In the view of the Committee, the proposal for the reform of the milk products sector contains some points which need to be re-examined, since in its present form the proposal is enough to secure the future of the milk sector. Consequently, the Committee feels that the proposal cannot be approved in its present form, as it does not correspond to the decisions of the Luxembourg European Council or meet the overall objectives for Agenda 2000 set by the Commission itself.
Il est d'avis qu'il faut poursuivre l'examen de certains points de la réforme du régime laitier dans la mesure où la proposition actuelle n'est pas à même de garantir l'avenir du secteur laitier. Dès lors, la proposition ne peut être approuvée sous sa forme actuelle, car elle ne correspond pas aux décisions prises lors du Sommet de Luxembourg et qu'elle ne satisfait pas aux objectif généraux fixées par la Commission elle-même dans le cadre de l'Agenda 2000.
