In the context of its financial and technical assistance to the Latin American developing countries, the Commission is providing ECU 9.6 million for a programme of credit and technical assistance to rural micro enterprises in Honduras. The programme forms part of the Honduran government's efforts to mitigate the hardship caused by its structural adjustment policy through the launch of projects aimed at reviving the economy and promoting social welfare and coordinated by a new body, the Honduran Social Investment Fund (FHIS).
La Commission vient de décider, dans le cadre des Programmes d'Assistance Financière et Technique en faveur des Pays en voie de développement d'Amérique Latine, le financement du projet suivant: Honduras - Programme de Crédit et d'Assistance Technique aux Micro-Entreprises Rurales - 9.600.000 écus Ce Programme s'inscrit dans les efforts du Gouvernement du Honduras de compenser les effets sociax négatifs de sa politique de réajustement structurel par le lancement d'actions de réactivation économique et d'allègement social coordonné par un nouvel organisme, le FHIS (Fonds Hondurien d'Investissement Social).
