I think it unacceptable that, even though the House authorities were informed by the city of Strasbourg as long ago as November 2005 that the latter still had to conduct negotiations in respect of the two buildings – known as IPE 1 and IPE 2 – with a Dutch pension fund, both the House authorities and the Bureau pressed on with the purchase negotiations and it was only our own initiative that prevented the deal going through.
Je trouve inacceptable que, même si l’administration de cette Assemblée a été informée par la ville de Strasbourg dès le mois de novembre 2005 que cette dernière devait encore mener des négociations concernant les deux bâtiments - connus sous le nom de IPE 1 et IPE 2 - avec un fonds de pension néerlandais, l’administration du Parlement et son Bureau aient fait pression pour faire avancer les négociations d’achat, et que seule notre propre initiative ait empêché le marché d’être conclu.
