We heard that: in 2003, the BFC carried out two training courses in Iqaluit for 24 Inuit workers; graduates who wished to work on the vessels contracted by the BFC had been successful in finding jobs; production at the Pangnirtung fish plant was significantly increased, resulting in much-needed employment in that community; and the BFC had been involved in two projects, one in Clyde River and the other one in Pond Inlet, to develop winter turbot fishing.
