To facilitate the restructuring of the higher education sector in Central and Eastern European countries through inter-university cooperation, exchanges between students and teaching staff and industry-university cooperation between these countries and the countries of the Community, with the possibility of participation by the non-Community G-24 countries.

1. Sub-Committee on industrial cooperation (SCIC) The SCIC seeks to foster cooperation by identifying and analysing areas suitable for industrial cooperation, exploring ways to facilitate such cooperation (with an emphasis on inter-corporate links and increased investment flows) and encouraging the regular exchange of information between governments, organisations and firms.
