Underlines that the Third Maritime Package, which is still at first reading stage in the Council, whereas Parliament adopted its position a year ago and is willing to move forward and conclude the seven legislative procedures, would provide the EU with tools for preventing maritime incidents and managing the consequences of any such incident, especially in the form of the proposals on maritime traffic monitoring and accident investigation;
8. souligne que le troisième paquet relatif aux questions maritimes, qui se trouve toujours en première lecture au Conseil, alors que le Parlement européen, ayant adopté sa position il y a un an, souhaite avancer et conclure les sept procédures législatives, offrirait à l'UE des instruments pour éviter les incidents maritimes et en gérer les conséquences, en particulier les propositions relatives à la surveillance du trafic maritime et aux enquêtes sur les accidents;
