Believes that particular priority should be given to coordination and cooperation between seaports and to their connection with islands and inland regions via inland waterways and improved hinterland connections, so as to ensure that all parts of the region can benefit from the growth of maritime transport; recalls, in this context, the importance of adopting an integrated approach to the management of maritime/coastal zones and the hinterland, in particular by encouraging projects promoting the land-sea interface;
4. estime qu'une priorité particulière devrait être accordée à la coordination et la coopération entre les ports maritimes ainsi qu'aux liaisons avec les îles et les régions intérieures par voies navigables, et à l'amélioration des liaisons avec l'arrière-pays, de manière à s'assurer que tous les territoires de la région peuvent bénéficier de la croissance du transport maritime; rappelle à ce titre l'importance d'adopter une approche intégrée de la gestion des zones maritimes, côtières et de l'hinterland, en encourageant notamment les projets favorisant l'interface terre-mer;
