(3) "energy performance of a building" means the calculated or measured amount of energy needed to meet the primary energy demand associated with a typical use of the building, expressed in kWh/m2 per year, and which includes inter alia energy used for heating, hot water, cooling, ventilation, and built-in lighting, taking into account passive solar gains, sun shading and natural lighting;
(3) "performance énergétique d'un bâtiment": la quantité d'énergie calculée ou mesurée nécessaire pour répondre aux besoins d’énergie primaire liés à une utilisation normale du bâtiment, exprimée en kWh/M par an, et qui inclut entre autres l'énergie utilisée pour le chauffage, l'eau chaude, le système de refroidissement, la ventilation, les installations d'éclairage intégrées, les gains d'énergie solaire passive, l'occultation et l’éclairage naturel;
