The main objectives are to develop better maize and wheat strains and facilitate exchanges of information, and to upgrade the research capacities of national agricultural research systems (NARS), promoting the training of regional wheat and maize specialists and setting up infrastructure that will help the researchers in their work.
Ses objectifs principaux consistent à développer des variétés améliorées de maïs et de blé et faciliter leur échange, à accroître les capacités de recherche des NARS (Systémes nationaux de recherche agronomique) en encourageant la formation de spécialistes du blé et du maïs de la région et en établissant des infrastructures qui permettront aux chercheurs de mieux s'informer.
