The NCIC was able to build a consensus within the Italian community when it was the lead group in the negotiations with the Canadian government for the ACE program, and when that program was cancelled the NCIC maintained the channels of communication open with various community groups in order to continue to lobby for this cause.
Le CNIC a réussi à créer une convergence des idées au sein des milieux italiens lorsqu'il pilotait les négociations avec le gouvernement du Canada par rapport au Programme de reconnaissance, de commémoration et d'éducation. Quand ledit programme a été annulé, le congrès a maintenu la communication avec divers groupes communautaires de manière à ce que se poursuivent les efforts en faveur de cette cause.
