The morphological diversity of the mountains, the averagely-fertile-to-poor soil, the low rainfall unevenly distributed over the year and the water flowing in the deep valleys dictate the type of agriculture practised in the region, resulting in two separate but interrelated parts from the agricultural point of view: the plateau and the slopes.
La diversité morphologique du relief, les sols moyennement fertiles ou pauvres, la faible pluviosité, inégalement répartie sur l’année, et les cours d’eau qui sillonnent des vallées encaissées conditionnent les systèmes agraires qui prévalent dans la région. Celle-ci se répartit en deux secteurs bien distincts, mais indissociables sur le plan agricole: les plateaux et les coteaux.
