It would also be interesting to put on the record another recommendation to the effect that the federal government put in place a surcharge on the purchase of new fuel inefficient vehicles and redirect the revenue to a fund dedicated to improving the sustainability of Canadian transportation.
De même, il serait intéressant de rappeler publiquement une autre recommandation prévoyant que le gouvernement fédéral mette en oeuvre une surtaxe à l'achat de nouveaux véhicules à faible ou bas rendement énergétique et de réaffecter les recettes dans un fonds destiné à améliorer la rentabilité des transports au Canada.
