Stresses that the initial years following accession will mean a major challenge for the economies of the new Member States, particularly as a result of the inevitable changes which will affect their financial, economic and social structures, and that the phase of adoption of the euro, which will bring its own constraints, represents a subsequent stage in the successful transition to a market economy in accordance with the Copenhagen criteria;
30. rappelle que les premières années qui suivront l'adhésion confronteront les nouveaux États membres à un défi économique important, notamment à travers les inévitables mutations qui affecteront leurs structures financières, économiques et sociales, et que la phase d'adoption de l'euro, porteuse de ses propres contraintes, constitue une étape ultérieure pour la réussite de la transition à l'économie de marché au sens des critères de Copenhague;
