As his representative, I contacted the Secretary General of the Court of Auditors, not to express an opinion on the correctness or incorrectness of the points which Mr Watt had raised, but simply to draw to the attention of the Court that in my opinion, Mr Watt was, whether correct or incorrect, a public-spirited person acting for what he understood to be the public interest.
Étant son représentant, j’ai contacté le Secrétaire général de la Cour des comptes, non pas pour exprimer mon opinion sur l’exactitude ou l’inexactitude des questions que M. Watt a soulevées, mais simplement pour attirer l’attention de la Cour sur le fait qu’à mon avis, M. Watt était, qu’il ait eu tort ou raison, une personne faisant preuve de civisme et ayant agi pour ce qu’il estimait être dans l’intérêt général.
