Painting of a G.R.P. lifeboat shall be done only after the moulding is fully cured and a water resistant grade of pre-treatment primer or an epoxide based primer paint shall be used followed by any of the usual finishing coatings and silicone and wax release agents shall not be used for surfaces that are to be painted.
