If we then add the issues of enlargement and the relaunch of agriculture in some areas such as the Mediterranean basin, we shall want to know what Model of European Agriculture the Commission intends to create and, above all, we shall certainly want assurance that this agricultural model will not be placed on the foreign policy table and regarded as a bargaining counter in situations arising out of international requirements.
Si nous ajoutons ensuite l'élargissement et la relance de l'agriculture dans certaines zones comme celle du bassin méditerranéen, nous comprendrons quel est le modèle d'agriculture européenne que la Commission veut réaliser, et surtout nous aurons réellement la tranquillité de savoir que ce modèle d'agriculture n'est pas placé sur la table de la politique extérieure et traité comme une monnaie d'échange avec des situations qui découlent des exigences internationales.
