The European Commission has cleared the sale of a number of printed circuit board (PCB) assembly facilities by Nortel Networks Corp. to the U.S. manufacturing services provider Solectron Corp. Through the transaction, Nortel out-sources part of its PCB production activities in France, Ireland, and the UK, in addition to Canada, Mexico, the United States, and Turkey.
La Communauté européenne a autorisé la vente de certaines installations d'assemblage de circuits imprimés par Nortel Networks Corp. à Solectron Corp, fournisseur américain de services de production. Par cette opération, Nortel sous-traite une partie de ses activités de production de circuits imprimés en France, en Irlande et au Royaume-Uni, outre le Canada, le Mexique, les États-Unis et la Turquie.
