1. For the purpose of the restructuring and conversion of vineyards, the green harvesting and the grubbing-up measures referred to in Articles 11, 12 and 98 of Regulation (EC) No 479/2008, an area planted with vines is defined by the external perimeter of the vine stocks with the addition of a buffer whose width corresponds to half of the distance between the rows.
