If we have human rights tribunals and commissions with full binding powers empowered to tell the government when they have infringed on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and individual rights of every citizen in this country, then why can we not place First Nations, Aboriginal and treaty rights — which are also protected in the Constitution — on the same footing?
