And as Dr. Hoel says in paragraph 29: “In sum, if the AECB study had used the internationally accepted method for studying radiation induced cancers, of a single-tailed test and a 90% confidence interval, the present excess rates of childhood leukemia deaths near the Bruce and Pickering nuclear power plants would be considered statistically significant”.
Et comme dit le Dr Hoel au paragraphe 29: «En somme, si l'étude de la CCEA avait utilisé la méthode acceptée internationalement pour étudier les cas de cancers radio-induits, c'est-à-dire un test unilatéral et un intervalle de confiance de 90 p. 100, le nombre excessif de décès par leucémie infantile à proximité des centrales nucléaires de Bruce et de Pickering aurait été considéré comme statistiquement significatif».
