The ESC's ideas for an urban agenda in the European Union

At its plenary session today, the Economic and Social Committee unanimously adopted an opinion on the Commission Communication Towards an urban agenda in the European Union. The rapporteur for the opinion was Gianni Vinay (Workers' Group - Italy) and the co-rapporteur was Eugène Muller (Various Interests Group - Luxembourg).

Under the motto "Towards an Urban Agenda for the European Union" the European Commission has opened the dialogue on the future of urban development.
