As my hon. colleague from Renfrew pointed out earlier, surely I could go to any Canadian taxpayer or the the Canadian business person and say: ``For every dollar you give me, I promise you a 400 or 500 per cent return, a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio''. Surely that is a wise investment of Canadian tax dollars to bring those revenues back to the Government of Canada, to create jobs in Canada and to continue to place Canada and Canadians at the front of the Canadian nuclear industry.
Comme mon collègue de Renfrew l'a signalé tout à l'heure, monsieur le Président, je pourrais m'adresser à n'importe quel contribuable ou chef d'entreprise canadien et lui dire que, pour chaque dollar qu'il me donnera, il obtiendra un rendement de 400 ou 500 p. 100. Il est évident que c'est un bon investissement des deniers publics puisque, d'une part, le gouvernement fédéral peut ainsi récupérer des recettes et, d'autre part, il est possible de créer de l'emploi au Canada, ainsi que de continuer à faire en sorte que notre pays soit à la fine pointe de la technologie nucléaire.
