59.1 If alcohol is imported under circumstances in which subsection 3(1) of the Importation of Intoxicating Liquors Act applies, the alcohol is deemed, for the purposes of this Act and subsection 21.2(3) of the Customs Tariff, to have been imported by the person who would have been the importer in the absence of that subsection 3(1) and not by Her Majesty in right of a province or a liquor authority.
59.1 L’alcool qui est importé dans les circonstances visées au paragraphe 3(1) de la Loi sur l’importation des boissons enivrantes est réputé, pour l’application de la présente loi et du paragraphe 21.2(3) du Tarif des douanes, avoir été importé par la personne qui en aurait été l’importateur en l’absence de ce paragraphe 3(1) et non par Sa Majesté du chef d’une province ou une administration des alcools.
