A common regulatory approach should enhance the integrity, independence, objectivity, responsibility, transparency and reliability of statutory auditors and audit firms carrying out statutory audits of public-interest entities, contributing to the quality of statutory audits in the Union, thus to the smooth functioning of the internal market, while achieving a high level of consumer and investor protection.
Une approche réglementaire commune devrait renforcer l'intégrité, l'indépendance, l'objectivité, la responsabilité, la transparence et la fiabilité des contrôleurs légaux des comptes et cabinets d'audit qui effectuent le contrôle légal des comptes de ces entités, contribuant ainsi à la qualité du contrôle légal des comptes dans l'Union, et donc au bon fonctionnement du marché intérieur, tout en assurant un haut niveau de protection des consommateurs et des investisseurs.
