Advises the Council, in support of its policy, to ask the Commission for a comparative study of the position of Islam and Muslim organizations in the various Member States, which should consider, inter alia: the official status of Islam, existing arrangements for compliance with religious obligations (religious holidays, ritual slaughter, funeral ceremonies), the construction of religious buildings, and educational and cultural facilities, and to disseminate the study widely in the EU;
