The ECB is required, in accordance with the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and under the conditions laid down in the Statute of the European System of Central Banks and of the European Central Bank (hereinafter the ‘Statute of the ESCB’), to make regulations to the extent necessary to implement the ESCB’s tasks as defined in the Statute of the ESCB and in some cases as laid down in the provisions adopted by the Council pursuant to Article 129(4) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
Conformément au traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne et dans les conditions prévues par les statuts du Système européen de banques centrales et de la Banque centrale européenne (ci-après dénommés les «statuts du SEBC»), la BCE arrête des règlements dans la mesure nécessaire à l’accomplissement des missions du SEBC définies dans les statuts du SEBC ainsi que dans certains cas prévus par les dispositions adoptées par le Conseil en vertu de l’article 129, paragraphe 4, du traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne.
