The European Council at Strasbourg underlined the need to develop the Community transport policy and declared that special priority should be given to the development and interconnection of Europe-wide networks, especiallly in the areas of air traffic control, linking the main Community conurbations by broad-band telecommunications networks, the most efficient surface communications links and energy distribution.
Le Conseil européen de Strasbourg a souligné la nécessité de faire avancer la politique communautaire des transports et a déclaré qu'une priorité toute particulière doit être accordée au développement et à l'interconnexion des réseaux trans-européens, notamment dans le domaine du contrôle aérien, de la liaison des principales agglomérations de la Communauté par des réseaux de télécommunications à larges bandes, des liaisons terrestres les plus performantes et de la distribution d'énergie.
