To enable freight logistics to utilise their growth potential to the full, TEN-T policy needs to ensure the right infrastructure basis, in particular in terms of inter-modal terminals, rail, sea and river port capacity (including land access to seaports), parking areas for commercial vehicles and ITS systems as both infrastructure components and means of tracking and tracing goods.
Pour permettre à la logistique du transport de marchandises de développer tout son potentiel de croissance, la politique du RTE-T doit garantir l’existence de bonnes infrastructures de base, spécialement en ce qui concerne les terminaux intermodaux, la capacité des terminaux ferroviaires, maritimes et fluviaux (y compris l’accès aux ports maritimes par voie terrestre), les aires de stationnement pour les véhicules commerciaux et les systèmes de transport intelligents, qui sont à la fois des éléments d’infrastructure et des outils pour repérer et suivre les marchandises).
