(e) methods of analysis and detection of chemical contaminants and sequencing of pathogenic and non-pathogenic micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, mould, yeasts, fungi, parasites and new agents of the prion type), which will make it possible to develop tools to predict the emergence of the pathogenicity of micro-organisms; placing special emphasis on the introduction of HACCP (Hazard Assessment Critical Control Points) throughout the food chain, and in this regard, particularly the urgent need for the development and evaluation of reliable and more refined scientific methods and increased research into ante-mortem diagnostic tests for BSE and scrapie;
(e) méthodes d’analyse et de détection des contaminants chimiques et séquençage des micro‑organismes pathogènes ou non (virus, bactéries, levures, champignons, parasites, et nouveaux agents de type prions), qui permettront la mise au point d'outils prédictifs de l'émergence de la pathogénicité de micro-organismes, l'accent étant mis sur l'implantation de la méthode HACCP (Analyse des risques et points critiques pour leur maîtrise) tout au long de la chaîne alimentaire; à cet égard, il est particulièrement urgent de développer et d'évaluer des méthodes scientifiques fiables et plus fines et d'intensifier les recherches sur les tests diagnostiques ante-mortem pour l'ESB et la tremblante;
